So if you’ve been on instagram at all in the past few years, you’ve seen those amazing pictures of thousands of people doing yoga at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. Since I’ve lived in Denver for almost a year now I had to get to at least one class this summer. And BONUS, they are surprisingly affordable – about $20 a class after fees and what not.
I am happy to report that this was one of the best yoga experiences I’ve had in a long time. Now I’ve tried yoga in many capacities and it’s one of my favorite ways to unwind. I’ve done aerial yoga, beer yoga, and even silent disco yoga, but yoga at Red Rocks takes the cake.
The classes are held at 7 AM on Saturdays and your surroundings are so peaceful. It’s really easy to tune into the breeze on your skin, the birds chirping, and the sun rising over the hills. It’s truly a holistic sensory experience. Not to mention the vibes you get from the 2,500 other people in the amphitheater. Looking around the stadium you can’t help but feel humbled by all these yogis moving and breathing in unison. It’s magical and I’d highly recommend for anyone visiting or living in Denver this summer.
